AUTHOR WEBSITES AND BOOK PAGES
Build a clear home for your book.
Create a focused book page or a small author website that introduces your work, presents essential information and helps readers choose their next step.
A focused page or a small site
For authors preparing a launch or improving an existing online presence. Choose one book landing page on a suitable existing website, or a separately scoped small author site.
Bring your book information, reader links and next step together in a place you can update.
Quote after scope
The build, revisions, total price and recurring costs are confirmed in writing before you decide.
Choose the scope
One book landing page
Book landing page: one page for one book on an existing, suitable website, with up to six agreed content sections and one revision round.
A small author website
Small author website: up to five agreed pages for an author and up to two books. The platform, design and revision allowance are defined before work begins.
What is included
The agreed structure uses your supplied material and gives readers a clear next step.
A clear reader route
- An agreed page structure and reader action, using the material you supply.
Your book and author material
- Cover presentation, book description, author introduction, supplied review quotations and retailer or contact links where relevant.
Readable across devices
- Responsive checks for phone, tablet and desktop, with readable headings and visible keyboard focus.
Page details and handover
- Page title and description, image descriptions and a check of agreed links.
- A written handover explaining how to update the supplied content and identifying accounts and recurring costs.
What is outside this scope
The starter scope excludes a shop, checkout, memberships, custom applications, large catalogues, complex migrations, ongoing maintenance, commissioned photography or illustration and legal-policy drafting. A newsletter form, sample download, contact form or analytics integration can be included when agreed and supported by your chosen services. Domain, hosting, software and subscriptions are separate unless explicitly included.
From your material to a usable page
01
Share the starting point
Tell us about your book, your existing website if you have one, and the action you want readers to take. Identify the text, reviews, images and links you can supply with permission.
02
Agree the work
We confirm the page or site scope, platform, revision allowance, total price, draft date and recurring third-party costs in writing. You decide whether to proceed.
03
Review and take control
Review the agreed draft and use the agreed revision allowance. Your written handover explains how to update the supplied content and identifies the accounts and recurring costs.
A typical book-page outline
Illustrative example only. Your final page follows the agreed book, audience and reader action.
- Book cover, title and one clear reader action.
- A description that explains what the book offers.
- A short author introduction.
- Verified, attributed review quotations supplied with permission.
- A sample or further information where available.
- Clear retailer, enquiry or newsletter links.
Start with the free guides
Start free: plan your author website or prepare a reader-first launch.
Use the guides to think through the information readers need and the next step you want your page to offer.
Clear terms before the build
Price and delivery
Send your website address if you have one, cover, synopsis, author biography, retailer links and the action you want readers to take. Only supply text, reviews and images you have permission to use. We confirm the build scope, revision allowance, total price, draft date and any recurring third-party costs in writing before you decide.
Your website stays under your control
You control your domain, hosting and email accounts. You receive the agreed site access and editable content. Third-party themes, plugins and assets keep their own licence requirements, which are identified in your quotation. Mystic Publishing takes no share of your book royalties.
A wider question about your publishing plans?
You can also ask for an assessment, a second opinion on an existing website, or suggestions about another publishing decision. Describe what you are trying to resolve. We will explain whether we can help and agree the scope before any paid work.
Give readers a clear next step.
Tell us about your book, your current website and what you want readers to do. We will clarify the proposed work and confirm the terms in writing.
